Missing homework/classwork continues to be a problem in room 230. As a reminder, I sent home a contract that was signed stating if missing work is not turned in within ONE WEEK, a ZERO will be given.

As your child probably told you, we will be performing in the Black History month assembly. We will be singing and dancing on stage. I ask that your child PLEASE come dressed in jeans and a plain white shirt. Thank you! :)
DUE FEBRUARY 6th!!!!
Students were given a packet to complete and an example packet. They all chose an influential African American to research. If you have any questions please contact me sooner than later. This is a large grade for research and social studies, and they will be displayed in the halls. I hope they enjoy learning about such an important topic, and that you enjoy working with your child. We have been talking about Black History in class a lot as well! We are ttaking our NWEA winter test tomorrow 1/10 and Thursday 1/12. PLEASE have your child get a restful night's sleep and eat a nutritious breakfast so their brilliant brains and ready to go! :) Tomorrow our testing begins at 8am so please be ON TIME to school. We will be having a winter celebration tomorrow, Friday. Students are encouraged to wear their pajamas! Your child may choose to bring a treat for the class (at least 35). Treats MUST be PRE-PACKAGED and NUT-FREE (no nuts, peanuts, peanut butter etc.). We have a very fun day planned!
Students will be visiting the Holiday Bazaar shop on December 16th during our designated time slot. There will be small gifts and trinkets that students can purchase for themself or others. Items are $5 or less. They may bring money to shop if they please.

PLEASE contact me if you do not wish to have your child participate in the Halloween parade. If I do not hear from you, your child will participate. Please do not forget that tomorrow, October 13th is picture day. Students may come dressed out of uniform (appropriate). We will be taking pictures around 9am. Happy photos!
On Monday, October 31st (Halloween) PreK-2nd grade will be participating in a Halloween Parade through the main building. Students are allowed to dress up in costumes (with restriction-please see flyer that went home Friday). If your child DOES NOT celebrate Halloween and you DO NOT want them to participate, you MUST SEND A WRITTEN NOTE OR EMAIL by THURSDAY, OCT.27th so we can make arrangements. Thank you!
